If your company has the time clock restricted by geolocation, you will need to give Workful permission to access your location.
The first time you try to clock in or out, you will be asked to share your location with Workful. If you block Workful from accessing your location, you will be unable to clock in or out.
If you initially blocked Workful from accessing your location, follow the instructions below to reset your location permissions.
Choose your browser: Chrome | Firefox | Edge | Internet Explorer 11+
Chrome
Step 1
Option 1:
- Paste chrome://settings/content/location in the URL bar at the top of the browser.
Option 2:
- Click menu in the upper, right-hand side of your browser.
- Click “SETTINGS”.
- Scroll to the bottom of your screen and click “ADVANCED”.
- Click “CONTENT SETTINGS”.
- Click “LOCATION”.
Step 2
In your “Block” list, click delete beside any reference to Workful.
Firefox
Step 1
Option 1
- Paste about:preferences#privacy in the URL bar at the top of the browser.
Option 2
- Click menu in the upper, right-hand side of your browser.
- Click “SETTINGS”.
- Click “PRIVACY & SECURITY”.
Step 2
In the “Permissions” section, click “SETTINGS FOR LOCATION”.
Step 3
Find any reference to Workful and make sure it’s set to “Allow”.
Edge
Step 1
Option 1
- Paste ms-settings:privacy-location in the URL bar at the top of the browser.
Option 2
- Using Cortana, search “Settings”.
- Click “PRIVACY”.
- Under App Permissions in the side navigation bar, click “LOCATION”.
Step 2
Turn the Location service “On”.
Step 3
From “Choose Apps that can use your precise location”, turn Microsoft Edge “On”.
Step 4
- In Edge, click menu.
- Click “SETTINGS”.
- Click “VIEW ADVANCED SETTINGS”.
- Under App Settings, click “MANAGE”.
Step 5
Find any reference to Workful and make sure location is enabled.
Internet Explorer 11+
Step 1
Option 1
- Paste ms-settings:privacy-location in the URL bar at the top of the browser.
Option 2
- Using Cortana, search “Settings”.
- Click “PRIVACY”.
- Under App Permissions in the side navigation bar, click “LOCATION”.
Step 2
Turn the Location service “On”.
Step 3
- Click settings.
- Click “PRIVACY”.
- Under Location, click “CLEAR SITES”.
Step 4
Refresh the page and try to clock in or out again.
