Geolocation uses your company’s address to create a virtual geographic boundary around your business.
After you’ve chosen how close you want your employees to be before clocking in, Workful uses your employees’ location to determine if they’re within the boundary. If they are, they’ll be able to clock in or out. If they’re outside that radius, Workful will let your employees know that they’re too far away to clock in.
To clock in and out using geolocation, your employees will need to share their location with Workful. If they initially block Workful from accessing their location, they won’t be able to clock in or out. If they initially blocked Workful, click here to learn how they can allow Workful to know their location.
