- Go to eftps.gov.
- Click “LOGIN” in the upper, right-hand corner.
- Type your EIN, PIN, and Internet Password. When you received your EFTPS acknowledgement letter, it included your PIN. If this is your first time logging into EFTPS, click "NEED A PASSWORD".
- Click “LOGIN”.
- Click “PAYMENTS”.
- Type in the form number associated with the payment you’re making (i.e. 941) OR choose the correct form the dropdown menu.
- Click “NEXT”.
- Choose which type of payment you’re making:
- Federal Tax Deposit,
- Balance Due on Return or Notice,
- Payment Due on an Amended or Adjusted Return, or
- Audit Adjustment.
- Click “NEXT”.
- Type the amount you’re paying; choose the tax period you’re making a deposit for; type the tax year; and type the settlement date. The settlement date is the day you want the payment posted to your account.

- Click “NEXT”.
- Verify that the information is correct.
- If the information is correct, click “MAKE PAYMENT”. If the information is incorrect, click “PREVIOUS” and correct the information.
- After you have confirmed the information, you can either print the confirmation or save it as a PDF.
- When you’ve finished, click “LOGOUT” in the upper, right-hand corner.
- Click “ACCEPT”.
