If you’ve run prior payroll outside of Workful, you will need to enter your beginning balances for each quarter to ensure proper annual accounting. Check with your old provider for Year-to-date paystub information from each prior quarter for all employees needing end of year W-2 forms. Enter that information here.
From the main menu, click “EMPLOYEES”.
Click on the employee you wish to add starting balances for.
Click the PAYROLL tab.
Click “VIEW” beside "Starting Balances".
Add wages paid and taxes withheld for each quarter. Click “SAVE”.
